This is my favorite celebration because it is the celebration of  light overcoming darkness. We always serve the participants lunch at every celebration, but this one gets special holiday treats. It is so powerful to focus on overcoming dark thoughts, words, and actions. It is important to remember that we are made of light, and the light always has a way to dissipate shadows. We do ceremonies of overcoming as well as welcoming our new year.
